RPP undertakes a labour-intensive process to develop each pencil
Our Proven 7 Step Process
#1 Newspaper cutting
Waste newspaper is cut to the size of the lead/graphite.
#2 Pasting
Using paper glue, the lead/graphite is adhered to the newspaper.
#3 Rolling
Using the rolling machine, the pasted newspapers are rolled into cylinders.
#4 Hardening
Using heat, the raw pencil cylinders are hardened making them easy to sharpen.
#5 Cutting
Using the cutting machine, the hardened pencils are polished and cut to size.
#6 Branding
Using the heat shrink wrapping machine, the pencils are branded and laminated.
#7 Sharpening and packaging
Pencils are sharpened and packaged into branded packaging.
